What We Do

National Pump Company manufactures a complete line of vertical lineshaft turbine, submersible, jets and booster pumps for the agricultural, municipal, residential, petroleum, and industrial-commercial markets. Our specialized marine market manufactures vertical turbine barge pumps and we are a leader in repairing and refurbishing all brands of industrial pumping systems used in the marine barge industry.

Headquartered in Glendale, AZ (an ISO 9001:2015 facility) we have six (6) build and service locations throughout the United States to meet the needs of our customers, staffed with a knowledgeable customer service and operations team. Our standard products can ship quickly with off-the-shelf components to meet your customer’s needs.

On engineered projects, we have a team of highly experienced design engineers on staff with three test facilities to assure the right design for your application. We also have standard products off the shelf, ready for shipment.

National Pump Our History

Our History

National Pump was founded in 1969 primarily manufacturing pumps for the agricultural market. The company quickly expanded its capabilities in technology, quality and manufacturing to now service the municipal, industrial and petroleum markets. Today, you can find the National Pump brand throughout the world, in a variety of applications.

In 2010, National Pump Company became part of the Gorman-Rupp Company.

In 2012, National Pump acquired the American Turbine Pump brand, to enhance our vertical turbine pump line.

In 2014, National Pump acquired Bayou City Pump, a market leader in the marine industry.

NSF Certified

NSF Certified

Our complete vertical and submersible turbine pump assemblies are certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 & NSF/ANSI 372 standards, complying with the lead-free requirements of the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act.

To receive certification, National Pump Company submitted product samples to NSF that underwent rigorous testing to recognized standards, unannounced manufacturing facility audits and retesting to verify continued conformance to the standards.

NSF International, is a leading global independent public health and safety organization, providing science-based third party certifications that show a company’s adherence to a benchmarked set of quality standards.

Our Test Facilities

National Pump operates three test facilities in Glendale, AZ; Lubbock, TX; and Olive Branch, MS. The Glendale facility is capable of certifying pump performance up to 25,000 GPM and 1,500 HP, 460V & 4160V. Mechanical run and vibration testing are available on pumps with a total pump length (TPL) of up to 45 feet. NPSH testing has been configured to accommodate requirements in the API and municipal markets. A variety of Variable Frequency Drives, calibrated motors, integral flow meters, suction and discharge valves and tachometers facilitate control and data collection.
